H-2 Anorak Flannel

At its core, the H2 is a heavyweight, hooded cold-weather layer designed to move between hunting, bushcraft, camp, and everyday life without feeling out of place in any of them. It carries the rugged simplicity and heritage character of old-school while integrating the materials, concealment, storage, and packability we expect from modern equipment.

The exterior starts with our 80% polyester / 20% wool performance blend, constructed in a heavy-duty canvas weave for a substantial, durable outer shell built to handle brush, timber, packs, and hard use. The wool brings natural warmth and moisture-management properties, while the polyester adds durability, shape retention, faster drying, and everyday practicality.

Inside, the H2 is fully Sherpa lined through the body, creating a high-loft insulating layer that traps warm air without relying on excessive weight. Smooth polyester-lined sleeves make layering easy and allow the arms to move freely without binding against the clothing underneath.

Up top, an oversized three-point adjustable hood provides serious protection from wind and weather while creating additional head and face concealment in the field. When more coverage is needed, the integrated deployable face cowl can be brought up to break up the face and provide another layer of protection and concealment—then tucked away when it isn't needed.

The classic anorak front is built around functional storage. A large Sherpa-lined pass-through hand pocket provides warmth for both hands, while a separate top-down kangaroo storage pouch keeps essential gear close and accessible. Heavy-duty zippers, leather pull tabs, reinforced canvas elbows, a safety-harness pass-through, and rugged leather branding finish out a garment designed around real use rather than unnecessary details.

And when the temperature climbs or the H2 needs to come off, our exclusive Uomo Pack Roll System allows the entire garment to roll down into a compact, self-contained package for transport or attachment to your gear.

Performance Blend — 80% Polyester / 20% Wool

The H2 was built around a simple idea: make it cozy, but make it rugged.

Rather than relying on a traditional single-layer wool construction to do everything, we engineered the H2 as a multi-layer performance system. An 80% polyester / 20% wool outer shell is woven into a heavy-duty canvas construction and paired with a substantial medium-pile Sherpa interior. Each component brings something different to the garment.

Polyester provides the backbone. We chose a polyester-dominant shell for its exceptional durability, abrasion resistance, dimensional stability, and shape retention. It handles repeated wear, movement, packing, and hard use without easily stretching out or losing its structure. Polyester also absorbs relatively little moisture and dries quickly—important characteristics for an outer garment designed to see changing conditions and long days in the field.

Wool brings natural performance to the blend. The 20% wool content adds warmth, breathability, moisture management, and the unmistakable hand and character of a heritage outdoor garment. Blending wool into the polyester shell gives the H2 some of the qualities we love about traditional wool while allowing us to build a tougher, more structured exterior.

HEAVY-DUTY CANVAS WEAVE

Then we changed how that material performs by putting it into a heavy-duty canvas weave. The dense, tightly woven construction creates a substantial outer barrier that helps cut airflow, resist abrasion, and stand up to brush, timber, gear, and repeated field use. It gives the H2 its rugged structure and separates it from the feel of a conventional soft, single-layer wool garment.

The Sherpa

Inside, a thick medium-pile Sherpa lining provides the loft. That loft creates countless small pockets of insulating air around the body, helping retain warmth without requiring the outer shell itself to provide all of the insulation. The result is a warm, comfortable interior protected by a dense, durable exterior.

It all works together as one system: Sherpa for loft and warmth. Wool for natural thermal performance and character. Polyester for durability, stability, and longevity. And a dense canvas weave for structure, abrasion resistance, and protection from the elements.

The H2 is designed to fit true to size. We recommend ordering your normal size.

As a purpose-built outdoor garment, the H2 has a slightly relaxed, functional fit with room to comfortably layer underneath without feeling oversized or bulky. Adjustable body tensioners at the back allow you to fine-tune the fit through the torso, while the adjustable hood lets you dial in coverage and fit based on your layering and conditions.

If you prefer a roomier fit or heavier layering, you can size up and use the rear tensioners to bring the garment back in to better match your body.

Previous H1 owners

If you purchased an earlier-generation H1 and sized down, do not size down in the H2. The H2 runs true to size—order your normal size.

BUILT TO BE WORN. EASY TO CARE FOR.

The H2 was designed to be used hard, worn often, and cared for without complication. With its polyester-dominant performance blend, durable canvas weave, and Sherpa-lined interior, this isn't a delicate piece of traditional wool outerwear that needs to be babied.

One of wool's natural advantages is its ability to manage moisture and resist the buildup of odor. After a day in the field, we recommend simply hanging the H2 in a well-ventilated area and allowing it to air out naturally. Give it some fresh air, let it dry completely, brush off the dirt, and save the wash cycle for when the garment actually needs it.

Recommended Care

When it does need a wash, treat it much like your favorite heavyweight hoodie: machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with mild detergent, then hang or lay flat to dry. Avoid bleach, fabric softeners, and high heat to help preserve the wool fibers, Sherpa loft, and overall shape of the garment.

For lighter use, simply spot clean as needed and save the full wash for when it actually needs it.

Limited Batches once a year

Uomo flannels are produced in limited batches and brought in only once each year. When a product is marked Pre-Order, the units are already in production, and opening orders early gives you the opportunity to secure your size before the incoming inventory becomes available to the general public.

2026 Production

Our 2026 production is arriving in two batches:

Batch 1: October — FULLY RESERVED
Batch 2: Mid–Late November 

Our entire first batch has now been spoken for. Current pre-orders will be fulfilled from our second incoming batch, currently expected to arrive Mid–Late November.

Pre -orders will be fulfilled in the order they are received as inventory arrives. Ordering early gives you priority for the first available shipment.

The availability dates listed above represents our current expected arrival date. While we work closely with our production and shipping partners to stay on schedule. If we become aware of a meaningful delay, we'll do our best to keep you updated.
